Directions to Bear Mountain
Inn and State Park
The Bear Mountain Inn is located approximately 45 minutes from New
York City and is conveniently located at the
intersection of the Palisades Parkway
and Route 9W in Rockland County, New
York. It is situated in the heart of the New
York, New Jersey, Connecticut
tri-state region.
From the Palisades Interstate Parkway
Take the Parkway North past Exit 19 to the Bear
Mountain Bridge Circle. At the circle, make the
first right onto Route 9W south and go to the traffic light. Bear right and go
up the hill. The entrance to the Inn and parking lot is
200 feet on the right.
From the North via I-87 (New York
State Thruway)
Take I-87 south to exit 16 (Harriman). At the traffic light, turn left onto
Route 32. At third light, turn left onto Route 6 East. Take Route 6 East to the
Queensboro Traffic Circle.
At circle, make the third right onto the Palisades
Parkway North. Follow Palisades Parkway directions
above.
From
the North via Route 9W (and Stewart
Airport)
Take Route 9W south to
the Bear Mountain Circle. Take the second exit off the
circle (9W South) to the first traffic light. Bear right at the light and go up
hill. The entrance to the Inn and parking lot is 200
feet on the right.
From the East/South via I-87/287 (New
York State
Thruway)
Take 287 West over the Tappan Zee
Bridge to Exit 13N (Palisades
Interstate Parkway North). Follow Palisades Parkway directions
above.
From New York City
via the Palisades Interstate Parkway
Take the upper level of the George
Washington Bridge.
Take the very first right onto the Palisades
Interstate Parkway North. Follow Palisades Parkway directions
above.
From the South via Garden State Parkway
Take the Garden State Parkway North
to last exit (I-87/287, New York State Thruway). Bear right for I-87 east/south
(towards Tappan Zee Bridge).
Take I-87 to Exit 13N (Palisades Interstate Parkway North). Follow above Palisades
Parkway directions above.
