Dr. Jillian Bellovary
Black Holes: Super Massive, Intermediate & Stellar
Dr. Bellovary's research focuses focuses on the origins of black holes in the early universe, and how we might use information from the local universe to answer this question. She uses the code ChaNGa to create cosmological hydrodynamical simulations and examine how massive black holes form and evolve.
About the Speaker
Dr. Jillian Bellovary is a Research Associate at AMNH, Associate Professor at CUNY-QCC, and director of the M.S. in Astrophysics program at the CUNY graduate center.
